2011 First black pearl cafe cart
The Black Pearl Cafe story began in 2011. It was found by Joey and Paul. They are passionate on having coffee and bubble tea. For that reason, they had an idea to introduce coffee and bubble tea in Palmerston North. Paul and Joey started selling coffee in a small coffee cart at the corner of Rangitikei Street.
2012 our first physical store in downtown
In 2012, We found what we do best which is bubble tea. We moved the shop to Downtown Cinema in Palmerston North. The shop was only around 30 square meters. The small space did not stop us from being success. We have become popular and got excellent feedback from customers. There were never enough seats for everyone.
2014 Palmerston North store
In 2014, We moved to 91 Broadway Avenue, Palmerston North. This time we have our own kitchen. We are not only serving up only bubble tea and coffee. We also serve Modern Asian fusion food with high quality ingredients. We hired professional chefs to join our team. Asian Fusion Cuisine is a blend of various Asian styles of cooking or a blend of Asian style with another style of cooking altogether. In other words, food based on one culture, but prepared using ingredients and flavours inherent to another culture. This will highly benefit all customers to have different styles and verities of food that they have never had before.
2022 Napier store
22/9/2022 Black Pearl Cafe had a first expansion to Napier. We keep the same menu range which is proven successful. We love the sea, sun and heat here. Lovely locals and tourists have been supporting us with kindness. let us know where you think our next location should be.
